Chartier. Long lines, lots of mayonnaise, food on your table faster than Mac Donalds and daily changing soup for just € 1 that is absolutely not worth any more than that. Still a fun one to visit though.
If you saw my IG stories yesterday, you learned two things: 1. I’m a huge nerd and LOTR fan, and 2. I finally got my hands on the www.pathstotread.com domain. Yaasss!! Now if you’re thinking, “Ok...what does that have to do with LOTR and why are you so pumped about it?” Let me tell you: I have been watching (stalking) this domain for YEARS...it’s a phrase from one of my fave Tolkien poems 👇🏻
“Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread.
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We'll wander back and home to bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!” ✨
Also, side note: @boydbilly sings a pretty fab version of it in the movies. 🎶
I’m still not 💯 on what I’m going to do with it (for now it redirects to my website), but I want to savor this little innocuous moment. It could be the start of something amazing—for there are many paths to tread in life, and I hope I’m on the right one. Happy Friday!! 🙌🏻
You know, I sometimes think, how is anyone ever gonna come up with a book, or a painting, or a symphony, or a sculpture that can compete with a great city. You can't. Because you look around and every street, every boulevard, is its own special art form and when you think that in the cold, violent, meaningless universe that Paris exists, these lights, I mean come on, there's nothing happening on Jupiter or Neptune, but from way out in space you can see these lights, the cafés, people drinking and singing. ☕️🎠🌷
