To explore is to discover. To discover is to enjoy. To enjoy is to love. 🐘
Right this very second, I can feel creativity building up inside me! That overwhelming feeling of wanting to go and do something about it but someone has another early night tonight (💤) I want to film and take photographs. Who else gets nervous with filming in public though?
The most photogenic lattes one could order 💅🏽my Swedish sisters @idealofsweden sent me a brand new phone cover, they have lots of fancy shamcy designs so go wild 💕 20% off with ‘CHARLO18’ #idealofsweden
Central Park, New York 🇺🇸 .
I had no intention of posting a picture today, but the shuttle bus to work closed the doors in my face ‘cause it was full, so here I am, with some time to kill 🤷🏻♀️ .
One last picture of this view of Central Park... So Google tells me that apparently the size of the Park is that of 16 billion New York apartments 🤔 I know you can fit a lot of apartments in a skyscraper, and you can fit a lot of skyscrapers in Central Park, but still... Seems a bit crazy, doesn’t it!? .
Ok everyone , you see this ? This is by far the most extraordinary temple complex I have ever seen in my life and I'm so grateful I got to get here and it doesn't even matter that Yogyakarta was not what I expected..because this is magnificent, majestic and awe inspiring and you put it in your bucket list right now YOU HEAR ME? Let me see you write : PRAMBANAN Jawa Indonesia 🔝🔝🔝
✧ Can you spot the people climbing up the red summit crater?! 😉 And yes, this is ‘Mount Doom’!
✧ We have other exciting news today though! I’ve just completed my PADI Open Water Diver course, and Taylor’s finished his Advanced Open Water course! Can I get a HELL YES! 🙌
✧ HAVE YOU EVER SCUBA DIVED? Let me know what you think of it in the comments below! If you’re curious about it but deep down a little scared, you should read my experience below. 😉
✧ I’ll be completely honest here: I didn’t know if I could do it. While Taylor is a fish, I am... the total opposite of that. 😂 Generally fearful of the ocean and don’t go underwater without sputtering and coming back up quickly. I did an intro dive in Australia, and it was rushed to be honest — my ears were having trouble popping, and that hurt! But... this time, I took it nice and slow. Our first day was in the pool, learning a bunch of skills and getting used to breathing underwater. At first, I felt that bit of panic: “Oh god, what have I gotten myself into...” but stuck with it — and found myself actually enjoying it by the end of the day! I started instead to think of it as meditative, and moved my mindset away from fear to calmness. Now I’ve completed four dives in the ocean (up to 18m, and for about 35-45min each), and loved all of them! I want to go back for my advanced certificate as well. I couldn’t have done this without @bansdivingresort in Ko Tao, Thailand. My instructors, Lianne & Kelly, were nothing short of amazing. Patient, calm, and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Endlessly grateful and excited to explore my new fishy skills. 🐠
What's the meanest thing somebody's said to you? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🙇🏻♀️. Hurt people hurt people, as the old saying goes. I was a victim of bullying for 95% of my childhood. Those things that were said to me, the rumors that were started about me, have all shaped my personality in adulthood. It took decades to try to shift my self-esteem issues, and I'd be lying to you if I told you that those same childhood insecurities don't creep back in from time to time. We all carry emotional (and sometimes physical) scars from the people who have hurt us with words or with fists. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💝. So this week, I'd like to send some love to everyone who's been wounded. To everyone who's still picking themselves up from years of mean things being said to them. & while I'm at it, I'll send some love to the bullies, because at the end of the day, we're all just deeply wounded kids walking around in adult bodies.
Are you a freelance creative or individual entrepreneur chasing a dream?
I have been having a very real reality check in this part of my journey.
What do we want to accomplish? A specific amount of zeros at the end of our monthly income? A watch that costs more than our monthly rent? Or simply to scratch an itch that the friend with a ‘secure’ desk job he probably hates, left on our neck by telling us how much vacation time they are able to take this summer?
My hope is and has always been to simply get to do what I love. Live well enough to support my needs. And eventually my family’s needs.
To leave a legacy, to be known for the positive effect I had on peoples lives not just on their business. To know that everyone I meet received something more than a service from me.
I do get caught up in wanting that job that’s secure and comfortable, in wanting to be part of that network that seems to have it all- pretty often.
But I will never stop choosing the adventure of chasing a dream and embracing the dirt, the fatigue and the sacrifice- over being comfortable and half assed simply to feel like I’m important.
TAKE the big shot, don’t try to BE the big shot. One life only.

Trippin’ on roads... So ready for this weekend trip. ✈️
What’s that you say? That is some nice creative recycled goods @mandalaspaandresortvillas the resort had these all over the place. Boracay recycles so much. I even saw a Christmas tree made from recycled water bottles. They know wassup. Plus I just think it is magical and beautiful ✨

Isn’t it awesome how some unexpected moments just mark your life forever? This was hands down one of the most memorable sunsets we have ever experienced. ✨
#tbt to Hoi An. I’m planning a week away somewhere in South East Asia in April. I’m considering going back to Hoi An. Does anyone have any recommendations? I’d like it to be a quick flight or ferry ride from Singapore.

Here's an image of Twin Falls at the beginning of Road to Hana in Maui that I thought fitting for #waterfallwednesday !Thanks to @rouxroamer for showing it to me and to @Macs_explore for all the fantastic tips they provided for Road to Hana stops, best beaches, hikes and restaurants. Their tips helped me immensely!
@rouxroamer and I arrived here early after shooting at Ho'okipa, which I ended up returning to 3x during the week. Although some recommend skipping this waterfall, I really loved it as it has an enchanted forest feel to it. I changed my composition a few times to capture the light and feel I was seeking. Also, make sure to check out @rouxroamer post from four days ago as she has an AWESOME shot of her in her red dress amongst the roots of trees surrounding the waterfall. Be aware that tour buses start hitting this spot by 9am, which detracts from the serene feeling. Arrive by 7:30 to have it all to yourself.
Stay tuned for more Maui pictures. And, I'll share more details of my 30 minute encounter with Steven Tyler that make it even more hilarious and unbelievable 😂🤣
Today we finally made it to the BLUEST place ever!!! If you have been on my stories then you will know! 💙💙💙 I love morocco but straight away we got ripped off 😂 a sign at the airport saying that the taxi to town is 150 dirham but NO to our hotel it’s 200! Driving around Cambodia in this beauty of a vintage @jeep literally had me lost for words. Although on the other hand I was pretty much drunk from all the wine we had on empty stomachs... I obviously missed all the Water Buffalo roaming around in the background 🤣 📷: @seapea.vibes ...
