Why do we love road trips so much?
Is it the luxury and freedom of choice? How we can choose when and where to get somewhere, when and where we take breaks, and wander off where our whim takes us..? Is it the romance of having the wind in our hair and a song on our lips?
It's crazy how a road trip can be absolutely unpredictable. Plans are easily changed, and it's just as cool to not have a plan at all.
One of my favorite lines is "Safar khoobsoorat hai manzil se bhi." (The journey is more beautiful than the destination.) Road trips prove this better than anything else. Just getting out of the city gets our blood flowing, and the gorgeous sights we see on our way soothe the soul like nothing else.
That is why road trips are love to me - how they give us a chance to be mindful of the journey itself. It doesn't matter so much where we're headed, as long as we enjoy the process of getting there.
So watch the roads pan out ahead of us and revel in the amazing feeling of being nowhere and everywhere at the same time. . Soak in the world we live in, watch it go by, observe the tiny little things that we are so blind to in our 9 to 5 rush. Feel the joy in the little things, a small walk to stretch out our legs, a hot cup of coffee, a slice of watermelon, and of course, the wind in our hair.
I tried to put together a montage of a few moments from my recent trip to Shravanabelagola. It's a first attempt, but was quite fun to create. I hope you enjoy it! 😇
Shoutout to @sanoopjune for making this trip possible, and for being super cool with every crazy caper along the way! ❤️

3 things I love about Chicago :
3) Parks covered with snow.
Grand Canyon Walking Track: Starting from the breathtaking, Evans Lookout, the 6.3km track takes you deep down into the canyon descending from crazy heights. The landscapes constantly change, where one minute you're next to a river in what looks like a dark magical fairy forest and the next you're on a walkway on the side of a massive red mountain with views to die for. The whole thing took us about 3 hours and that's with a lot of stopping for photos. We definitely took our time. Everything was pretty easy except for the end of the track where it felt like a never ending climb to the top... but then again I'm not exactly the fittest person in the world. The walk is definitely something you should check out. It's unlike anything I've ever experienced before. Beauty beyond words ❤️ #hike#bluemountains#grandcanyon#naturelovers#adventuretime

It’s important to learn not be preoccupied with your pain, fear or discomfort, but simply to feel and accept it. 🌿 Fear and discomfort are fueled by your desire to get rid of them. If you truly accept them, relaxation follows and you start to let go.
Hi loves! Did you have an amazing weekend? Before leaving Ojai and the retreat I stopped by the town for some goodies at farmers market and some delicious bread from the baker @currygirlskitchen recommended 🥖 I’ve already finished half the loaf on my own 🙊 I always have the best conversations when I go to the market, anyone agree? 🤗
If you ever visit Muskoka don’t forget to pop in to Muskoka brewery and try this stout, it’s my favourite craft beer. And guess what, normally I don’t even like beer.

There’s something so powerful in learning to be grateful for both the open doors AND the closed doors. Open doors and green lights and fulfilled dreams are incredible.. but often times it’s the closed doors and red lights and failures that lead us to those mountain top moments. Last night over dinner we were reflecting on our last year and the events and circumstances that have led us to moments like these- and we are so immensely grateful for both our wild successes and our heart-breaking failures. Because we wouldn’t be here, doing what we’re doing and living the greatest life imaginable if it weren’t for both.

Super stoked to be heading back to Iceland in a few months! Still one of the most breathtaking places I’ve ever been to! Traveling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.” – Ibn Battuta #offtrackjack

Orthodox #churches remain one of my favorite parts of #Russia. The colors, detail, and ambience all evoke something special. I spent probably an hour in Saviour on Spilt Blood on my last few days in the country - for photos, of course, but also because it just feels like a special place to be.
Daydreaming about my next destination! Who can guess where I'm headed next Wednesday (not only the country, but the region too!)? .
1) temperatures in the high 80s F / high 20s C
2) not too far but not too close from SF
3) I'm not the biggest fan of the cuisine (but most people are!)
Journey through the Atlas Mountains was an experience I’d never forget. Home to one of the highest peaks on the continent life in the mountains is definitely not easy, with its highest peak at 13,671 ft. Villagers would usually travel by foot or on donkeys to gather resources on the ground level where millions of palm trees line the valley floor.
As we've said on numerous occasions in the past, we love pampering our hair with a deeply nourishing salon treatment after every few months of travel (as you know, Vid more than me 🙄😂). Last month, we dropped by @Kerastase_official to sample their 3 month-long hair care system- if you follow us on Insta stories you know all this already 🙈😊 ✨
After a quick scalp test, I was actually recommended the exact same shampoo and mask I already use - one for sensitive scalp (I’ve shown it lots of times!) but Vid was recommended the Densifique treatment for thinning hair (who knew?!). It’s a salon & at home treatment so there are lil tubes for daily use, which is good news for us travellers as we don’t see salons too often. We will let you know how it progresses as time goes by ☺️🤗
You send across SO many questions about our hair care each day - leave them below this photo and we’ll try to answer them all, here or in a Youtube video soon 😍😊
