Getting a new perspective on the Taj Mahal at Mehtab Bagh (Moonlight Gardens). I visited during the day but it’s a popular spot to watch the sunset behind the Taj & Yamuna River. You can also find the foundations here of the ‘Black Taj Mahal’ Shah Jahan planned to build as his final resting place - directly opposite the marble mausoleum he built for his fave wife Mumtaz Mahal. His despotic son put him under house arrest in the Amber Fort though so it was never completed. Can you imagine how awesome it would have looked if the Shah had finished the job! #indiablogtrain#tajmahal#incredibleindia#gwanderers

📸 @house_is_ here with one of my top three, maybe even my favourite facades/entryway images. Pink and green being a favourite colour combination. The green is almost a mustard colour and you can’t really go wrong with yellow and blue, conjuring up all your best summer memories the blue is a Gorgeous grey blue which alwayslooks good with the pink I started with a good while ago!
Not sure what’s happened with the brickwork, maybe sandblasted at some point, as you have to imagine they were built at the same time but this just adds to the the light and dark, ying yang overall aesthetic of the whole composition.
You’ve got to think that these neighbours get on well.
My visit to @nationaltrust Angelsey Abbey in Cambridgeshire was a delight. It was a crisp winter's day. The paths were lined with swathes of snowdrops and every so often a cute coffee station would appear. So welcome to warm hands, take a breather and catch up with a friend. There's more on the blog. Link in bio. ☺ Have a great Saturday. ☺☺💕
Glorious winter day in Provence today! What a magnificent and magical place! We tasted a lot wine again. Sadly, we had to pour most of it in the dump bucket so we could keep tasting (talk about beyond first world problems). We got back home late and I made a delicious beef stew for dinner. The organic veggies and beef here are incredibly flavorful. A great meal begins with great ingredients. I’ll be sharing the recipe on the blog soon.
