Spent the day hanging out at @labrisabali ☀️ After two days of fighting 'Bali belly' it was nice to get out from the villa 😂 Now, I have 2 weeks left to enjoy the island with my friends, and would love to hear your top tips for Bali! #FjordsandBeaches 📸: @idafbj
585 Plan B
So #theflightlesson continues!!!(Click on the hashtag to see the whole series)
Had an epiphany on how to continue this for another 2 to 3 frames so let's see how it pans out again!
If plan A doesn't work the alphabet has 25 more letters. So, DARE TO DREAM.
p.s. A lot of you liked Snowie, my dog, so she's joining me in this one. Well, this was her idea. Just look at her face!
The moths have been making a meal of my lilac woollen jacket, through the warmer months the little silvery eggs have hatched from their secret hiding place amid the folds of soft wool, and as the tiny larvae grew, so did the holes peppering the stored away winter clothes, as the days grew short and cold, I opened up the long closed drawer and pulled out, my merino base layer now sporting a trio of tiny holes on the back of one leg, my pretty wine coloured Shetland jumper, with two little circles nibbled from the bead decorated front, and the lilac jacket, chewed and eaten beyond wearing, i should have stuffed the pockets with lavender, but too late now. I took it apart, cutting away the slippery lining, the grosgrain cuffs, the braided buttons, (which were my real reason for buying the jacket in the first place) and the different panels of fabric which had survived the piranha frenzy of the hungry moths. I have spent the last couple of rainy days stitching, I decided to make a bag specifically designed to carry a book, when I cycle to visit my friend on the other side of the village I often take a book to lend, or bring one home to borrow, I thought this would be a more attractive alternative to the carrier bag swinging from my handlebars on these occasions, The flowers may look generic to you, but they are meant to be anemones, the first few are just poking their heads above ground in the garden, and i felt their tenacity deserved celebration, obviously i had to add a few of the buttons i loved so much. I was going to round off with something about “happy hours spent reading” as i would always have a book to hand (for @creativelysquared and @uberkatejewels latest theme #cs_happyhour ) but it is also about happy hours spent sewing, cycling and of course visiting my dear friend, and at least trying to see disasters as opotunities.
