As a female photographer, it can be easy to focus on the girl in pictures. It's easy to forget that love runs on both sides, and it's not enough to capture half the story. My handsome husband captured this shot during this engagement shoot, and even though a picture with the guy as the focal point probably won't get as many double taps on Instagram, it's still such a precious and important part of the story.
Model call!!! 🎉🎉 looking for couples with a similar aesthetic so I can document your loveee💖 please tag people or DM me!!:) I’ve been DYING to shoot a couple session since being here in Utah!! Photo inspo: @ashley.smith.photo

Receptions are one of our favorite parts of the wedding day! Because of the food of course... JK
We love receptions because it gives us a chance to see the creativity and love of our couples in a whole new way. Through their decorations, friends, family and yes food. We get a glimpse into their lives, their memories and their love. We love receptions! I mean how cute is this sign?! 😍😍😍
I’ve shot many photos for not only Cathie, but her whole family throughout the years, I was so grateful and honored when Cathie and @crayzeeeface asked me to be a part of their special day! Having their daughter involved only added to the festivities, it was intimate, joyful, and full of love!
The day wouldn’t have been possible without Cathie and @crayzeeeface fantastic team of professionals:

The biggest fan of first looks with Dad 😭 I did one with my Dad and not only did we get pictures to cherish forever but we also had a moment together, just the two of us, before it was time to take our walk. Ps- it’s also a good time to practice the father/daughter dance and let go of the nerves! 😉
More Big Bend goodness! James and Christine are so hot! 😍

Recently I was asked what my business values were. At first a bunch of things came to mind... But after thinking about it for a bit longer I realized that at the core of my business, my photography, and my art is this:
That with everything I do, every post, piece of content or sentence I put out into the world, I would build a legacy worth something more than just pretty images. That stories of faith, loss, love, tragedy, hardship, beauty, and adventure would be brought to life in candid, vulnerable, and telling imagery that brings people back to the heart of their love story. No matter what I’m doing as my craft, whether that’s photography or something different, I know my calling is in helping share stories that make people feel something. Stories that connect our hearts and remind us of our why.
Take this photo for example. I pray when Drew and Jenna look at it 40 years from now they’ll be reminded of this season of joy amidst the pain. These two suffered two miscarriages in two years, yet I’ve never met two people so happy and content with where God has them. I pray they’ll show their future kids these photos and tell them how diligently and patiently they waited for them to come. How they learned to live life to the fullest no matter what ugliness came their way.
THAT I’ve realized is my greatest value in my business. That my photos would be so much more than images on a screen. That to my couples, these would be living documents of their vibrant, beautiful, raw legacy. That will always always always be my heart behind what I do. And if you’ve followed along with my work in any capacity, I would just like to say sincerely, “Thank you.” 🖤🖤🖤
It’s February and we are going to be in the 80’s next week. Only in Alabama. In other news, I am currently offering couple mini sessions, so be sure to check out my IG Highlights for more info! I wanna meet all of your sweet faces, so please blow up my inbox.
