for the past two weeks i’ve been doing a homestay at an eco commune about an hour inland from the coast. my host is an older single woman who is a passionate environmentalist and almost entirely self sufficient. she produces her own solar energy, collects her own rain water, and grows the majority of her food herself. the commune is pretty isolated from the rest of society and nestled on the side of a beautiful mountain. people are so creative here and i’ve seen houses made from old school buses, trains, deconstructed buildings and everything in between. the people living here have the mindset of escaping mainstream society to build their own sustainable community. i’ve been interested in intentional living communities since learning about ithaca’s eco village. i don’t know if they’re quite the solution to sustainable living but they’re pretty cool. it’s been an interesting couple of weeks and i’m glad that i got an insight into this community and lifestyle. off to tassie or Tasmania for now!
Went on a blind date with Snowbird and fell in love at first turn. Utah, I'm blushing....and now my thighs are burning!!
I've spent most of my post-college years overseas, and now that I have moved back to the U.S., I am constantly reminded of just how beautiful this land is (and how little of it I've seen). I would love to go on many more dates with America; see where it takes us. We don't have to rush into anything, but the mountains always spark my interest (looking at you, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana).

Siena, you are truly beautiful! Make sure to visit this beautiful city when you’re in Tuscany & read more about it on my blog!
Dreaming my dreams with you 💤
Day 2 of #SparkSamar ✨ When I received the invitation to visit Samar, I thought there isn't much to do here. It is not the usual summer destination that people might think of, but there are nice falls, caves and sights to explore. Can't wait to visit the mini-Niagara Falls 💦 📷 | @justinsese

#acordeiqueroviajar#acordeiemalagoas
The last week was spent road tripping through Sequoia, Yosemite, Point Reyes, San Francisco, Big Sur, and the rest of the California coast. I started photography over 3 years ago, and I feel like this was the first time I’ve successfully captured the state I call home. I’m beyond excited to share all of the final images with you guys 😍 we live in such a beautiful place!

The backyard view from my favorite camp site this past season. In the early stages of planning this year’s summer climbing trip, just a few miles north of this very spot
Sure, the facade of this charming café checks all the insta boxes (pastel paint, parked bike, plurality of ferns). But I would return to this courtyard for the scent alone - a mix of dark chocolate and darker coffee that could spark even the sleepiest mind.
