Large painting I'm working on u can't tell from this pic but that red fades to hot pink and the blue fades to another shade as well. Sometime I'm just to anxious to work on my figurative peices so iv been working on focusing just on color and shapes when I go threw that. So far I'm liking how some of my art is comming out from these sessions and it helps to calm me down and relax a he'll of alot more #abstract#anxiety#art#artlover#artlife#creativelife#color#painting#mentalhealth
Reg Mombassa/Chris O'Doherty dynamic works adorn the hoardings at Wynard Place, Wynyard Station, where the site of commercial redevelopment is currently under construction. This is just a small section of what encompasses a wider public art display around the precinct.
Chris O'Doherty first came to public attention as a guitarist with Mental As Anything, the band he formed in 1976 with his brother, Peter, and fellow artist Martin Plaza. In 1985 he joined Mambo, creating his unique graphics for posters and clothing that are known worldwide. His work is celebrated for its creative and often darkly humorous and sometimes surreal approach to themes including politics, religion, history, and pop culture. He continues to have commercial success as an established artist and regularly exhibits his drawings and paintings.
